The monetary damage of not paying any taxes out of my unemployment last year did not turn out to be nearly as bad as I was afraid it would be. I owe $896 to the Feds, but I'll be getting $385 back from the state. That leaves me with a net deficit of $511 and I am not complaining about it one damn bit. I spent three wonderful days in Seattle and they're all gone, now. Polar bear!

All told, though, it was a lovely experience. It's only the: it's all over, post-vacation let down speaking. It really was very, very good.
