(no subject)
Ho hum. I really need to be either a) driving in to school so I can work before Intro or b) working NOW and driving in to school at the last minute for Intro.
Instead, I am trawling LJ and randomly singing snatches of songs from Once Upon a Mattress, and no, I don't understand it either.
Thanks to the fabulous emma_elicit, I went down to Signature last night and saw Michael John LaChiusa's Giant, which is APTLY NAMED. That puppy was FOUR HOURS LONG, including two intermissions. Supposedly, cuts have already been made, but more are on the way. Which, YES PLEASE. Don't get me wrong- the show is epic and gorgeous and the cast is damn good, but, dude. FOUR HOURS in make believe Texas is a WEE BIT MUCH. Do we REALLY need to keep gazing out over the audience and singing about how beautiful Texas is? (answer: NO)
BUT. I DID get to shake Michael John LaChiusa's hand, which. Um. *IS STARSTRUCK* I also briefly met Tom Zemon, who seems like a doll- luckily, I refrained from squeeing over his association with The Scarlet Pimpernel, because I am Very Mature and Not at All Fangirlish about a Long Dead Broadway Show I Never Actually Saw on Broadway (SP 3.0 Tour Represent!).
*ahem*
YEAH. No danger of THAT.
Okay. Time to go. I've written 5 real pages of this 15 page paper, which is good. I may gripe that Prof Big Cheese suddenly told me on Monday last to write a 15 page paper instead of an 8 page one, but HEY, WHATEVS- he also stipulates that he wants pictures incorporated into the paper, so PICTURES HE SHALL HAVE. I've added in one already that takes up nearly an entire page- no resizing images HERE!
