( Quick update, with photos )

I've had the Thermomix for over a year now, so I feel I should do an update on how my expensive appliance is going.

We have a new heating system now (the old one dated to 1988, the new one will be a lot more efficient). It ended up costing only half what I thought it would - apparently the ducts they used back then are nigh-indestructable, unlike the current ones which are designed to be replaced every 10 years along with the heating unit ( Read more... )

There is likely to be a few marmalade based recipe experiments in the next few weeks/months as I make an effort to use up my store of kumquat and cinnamon marmalade.
As usual I can't help but fiddle with any recipe I find, so successes shall be recorded here.

Ok, I may not be convinced by the capsicum dip, but as a pasta sauce with tomato and meatballs it really works.

Stayed home feeling poorly today. I'm hoping it just stems from excessive tiredness after a great convention weekend, but I fear I may have That Thing That's Going Around.
