I hate Mondays.

I got up early this morning for Journal Club, met up with Cassie in the elevator only to find Bart wandering around wondering if there is JC this morning.  Apparently there isn't.  I really could have used the extra sleep as I was exhausted yesterday and didn't sleep as well as I could have. Ugh.  Bright side: possibly get out of lab earlier?

Weekend weekend weekend.  I had a fabulous weekend!  I had Donatos on Friday, which [almost] made up for the awful awful construction traffic I had to sit through in West Virginia.  Taking an hour to go <10 miles is ridiculous, learn to drive!  Argh.  Anyway, Saturday Robert and I went to Panera for some tasty potato soup, yum, and then I helped him shop for some new jeans and shoes.  I had a major wedding shoe fail.  I found an absolutely perfect pair at Payless (American Eagle brand) for only $10, in my size... except the right shoe was a 7.5 WIDE!  I had the lady check everywhere, and none of the other stores have it in my size, and I could not find it online either. :( :(  I pouted for a long time about that (and I supposed I still am).  At least Robert finally found some new shoes (he's a picky one) and some new jeans sans holes for our pictures.  We played some Guitar Hero, and all of the sudden I suck more than I used to (used to meaning the other 2 times in my life I've played it).  It made me angry.  Next time, I'm sticking to the zombie game.  However, I had a fantastic track workout later that evening!  I did mile repeats, something I haven't done in a while, and decided to do 4 and see what happened.  I went 6:12, 6:12, 6:13, and then blasted my last mile for a 5:48.  Pretty much the best mile repeat workout of my life, I can't believe I pulled out a 5:48 at the end!  I'm hoping this means good things for my future 5k/10ks.

Sunday morning we had our engagement pictures done at Eden Park.  The weather was gorgeous, not a cloud in the sky and upper 50s/low 60s for temperature.  I can only hope our wedding day has weather that nice!  I wore a dark green sweater I bought at Kohls the day before, and he matched me with a light green dress shirt- we looked great, Tracy (our awesome photographer) kept raving about how good our colors looked, and apparently we were easy to photograph!  Since when has that ever happened to either of us?? Lol, I can't wait to see all of the pictures, she took so many and it only took 45 minutes!  She said she'd have them up in 2 weeks, I'm really excited to see them!  *gush*

Later we had Applebees (om nom nom) and I had an uneventful (yet smooth) drive back to Pittsburgh (blech).  So here I am.   Coach Savage (IH running coach) told Robert she could probably get him in to sub at Indian Hill every day of the week and possibly a paid asst coach position for track.  I've pretty much accepted the fact that he won't be here this year since all Fleet Feets are asshats and don't call when they say they will and don't answer any sort of messages, so that's that.  I hope he gets the sub job so he can save up some money and we won't be so poor after Hawaii next year.
