Spent last Monday, Labor Day, not relaxing but getting up at 1:45 in the morning to be ready to leave by 2:30am for a drive to the state line for our annual chili harvest/pickup. The Summer in Arizona may not give up it's grip to Fall until late October but nothing spells out Fall more to me then roasting chili and football on/after Labor Day ( Read more... )

Got up early Sunday morning to hit a one time great restaurant that clearly was no more. The food was so bad that Michelle sent her cold food away after we waited over a half hour to be served. From there we went back to the room to rest just a bit before she had to put her uniform on (her manager's shirt) and head back to work. i walked her over ( Read more... )

The Smooch had to work at the Sedona Wildflower store this weekend. Since i joined her on the way up the company paid for lodging at the adjacent Hyatt. Nice! We're within easy walking distance. If only Sedona didn't go to sleep so early. As i enter this via Wildflower's free WiFi the Smooch is still hard at work as the closing manager. She's had a ( Read more... )

Michelle and I had a trip to Garland's lodge in Oak Creek Canyon for two nights. Took off last Wed., Thurs., and Fri. Cold as fuck Wed. afternoon while having tea on the lawn with another couple from Surprise. Michelle instantly made friends as the woman was a big foodie.
