The Smooch had to work at the Sedona Wildflower store this weekend. Since i joined her on the way up the company paid for lodging at the adjacent Hyatt. Nice! We're within easy walking distance. It came close enough for thunder to be heard then slid straight West bypassing the whole valley. Once again there was no danger to fireworks on the night of the 4th. Very close though. Sure cooled off the night though and left the air scented with rain and the creosote bush. Plus we spotted a downed cicada which we gave to our cats to play with ( Read more... )

Dew point at it's highest so far and has held steady only dropping as low as 47 today. Earlier today there were huge thunderheads to the South and they were moving North. Of course was hoping for a storm, at least a dust storm, or the mighty haboob. Right now the air is calm, heavy, and warm. We sadly didn't get anything. The storm split and headed ( Read more... )

Michelle and I had a trip to Garland's lodge in Oak Creek Canyon for two nights. Took off last Wed., Thurs., and Fri. Cold as fuck Wed. afternoon while having tea on the lawn with another couple from Surprise. Michelle instantly made friends as the woman was a big foodie.
