Non frum Jews go to Shul at most 3 times a year, twice on Rosh Hashanah and for Yom Kippur. How sad that the only 3 days they go to Shul are the longest and most somber of the year...that is a way to get closer to Judaism? But it's not.
It's the story of a Sefardi man whose mother is called Ledicia. She passes, and he wants to name a child after her. So he names his next daughter... Eidel (the Yiddish equivalent). When asked why exactly, he answered "because I wanted her to have a Hebrew name".
