Chabad BT
I have an acquaintance, BT, North African turned Chabad. This is what she candidly writes:
"To each their minhagim, but mine are more kadosh!"
I was annoyed and I answered "you mean Tunisian minhagim? I think your minhagim are best for you, and mine are best for me. In my education no minhag is more kadosh, Hashem makes you be born in the family hence the minhag that is right for you, which is why most rabbanim say we must follow our minhag and not change it".
She didn't answer. ;)
If she goes on, I'll tell her MY rabbis say adopting another minhag and language is assur and we'll see how she likes it.
