The world premiere of the new musical Catch Me If You Can is wrapping up this weekend at the 5th Avenue Theatre.  And it's really good.  The music is by the guys who did Hairspray, the play is by Terrence McNally (he did Love!  Valor!  Compassion!, among many other things), and the costumes are by Bob Mackie.  So, it's pretty and it sounds good.  ( Read more... )

I got to my polling place at 7:30 and teared up as I walked down the ramp into the basement of the church.  The line for my precinct was short, so I got my ballot right away.

I got to a booth and skipped ahead, starting my vote by filling in the oval next to Obama and Biden.  I could feel myself grinning the whole time.
