It just occurred to me just how great this summer has been.

• To the US and back without gaining weight
• Cooked a magical Christmas dinner with arguably my best turkey
• Enjoyed plenty of beers, wine and good food
• Consistently hit the gym
• Found some great new music

It would be a matter of opinion, but I am only just holding it together at the moment.

Have been on a bit of a bender of late and slowly I think something coming together in my mind: all those drugs were not about the drugs but the people and although I really enjoy the drugs, they become more empty everytime.

I feel rushed to write, but I feel like I should write slow: such a contradiction to bear!

Anyway, I have been thinking a lot about what the phrase means "He worked hard..."; thinking about it in the context of "he was very successful because he worked hard...".

Any thoughts?
