Yay: This new (used) shirt looks good on me!

Boo: It makes me sneeze! They must have washed it in super-smelly detergent because my eyes are red even after washing it in my own hippie scentless detergent and hanging it outside to dry. Scent-sensitivity much? Yes. :(

A few days after watching 23 we watched Pi. Another numerology movie, wtf? So bad I walked out of the room. Now we're onto The Office season 4, which is much more my speed.

This morning I made this, for no particular reason, from a t-shirt and an old faded pillowcase.

1) Last week I decided I'd had enough of my hand-me-down dresser made of particle board with peeling varnish from the 70s. So Eric and I headed out to Ikea in a Yaris (compact car) from Communauto. I caved, and bought the bandleader jacket.

It's been a pretty great weekend, with lots of walking, Settlers of Catan, and garage sales. But I am still dreading the commute to work this week, if the transit strike goes ahead.

Last night I dreamt I was double-booked for work. I was supposed to usher at McGill (which I'm doing tomorrow night for real) and work at Videoself (which I have never done) at the same time. I wasn't even wearing the right outfit for ushering.

I created a new community, called boho_shabby. It pretty much sums up my fashion concept. Join if you want. It'll probably flop, but I won't be offended.

A couple of weeks ago I walked by house with a purple door and a silver star hanging in the window. It reminded me of the purple/star aesthetic I used to love. Today I am dressed as myself in high school. That is, in the words of my goth friend at the time, "total hippie." I tend to be a bit more understated these days, but today my purple ( Read more... )
