I've just closed "dissertation" on my project list. That's been an open project for 5 YEARS

I'll be over here squeeing quietly to myself. carry on.

Today is Friday in California. Deadline day for the summer term. Quarter to three in the afternoon. Even though all should be certain, I wait. Anxiously ping my email for news. Sip my coffee and twist my hands.

Just talked to Andrew on the phone to confirm earlier email strategy. I believe we are set. If you know any good rituals for propitiating the Gods, now would be a good time to use them.

I got 6 pages of specific comments from Nancy, and tried to fold in as many of them as I could last night and since 12.30 today. Back in the late 1990s when I spending a lot of time around the SF ballet, I watched a dancer I knew trip on stage in big corp d'ballet scene with like 40 girls on stage (maybe Swan Lake?).
