Summary: When Kato Shigeaki moves into an orphanage after becoming homeless, he meets a mysterious girl with an amazing gift that might bring them closer...
Notes: Slightly based on the song "Utsukushisugite Beautiful Eyes" by NEWS. Some of Shige's solos will also be used in the story here and there~ ;D

Morning came and Shige woke up. However, Hitomi wasn't beside him which made him worry. Shige looked down and saw that her clothes weren't on the floor. Only his were left. Maybe she got dressed and left the room? Shige slipped on his old clothes and went downstairs to look for Hitomi.
"Hitomi...? Hitomi!!" Shige shouted while trying to look for her.
Just then, the front door opened. A mysterious man in a black suit came in and looked at Shige. He smiled. "Excuse me, where's the office?"
Shige pointed to his left side. "Right here..." And to his left side was a door with a sign that said, "Office".
"Ah, I see. How foolish of me not to recognize that! Well, good day to you, young sir." The man opened the door to the office, and disappeared.
Seconds before the man closed the door, Shige noticed Hitomi was inside! He was about to enter the office too, but then thought he should stay outside instead because he might cause trouble if he goes in. So, he eavesdropped by pressing an ear on the door to hear the conversation.
"Alright, Nishikido-san, all I need is your signature and Hitomi-chan is all yours." This was the voice of the headmaster.
"Very well then." The man replied.
Shige's eyes widened. No, this can't be right. Hitomi's being...adopted...? He was in complete shock. Shige had no choice but to barge in no matter what. He couldn't bare to lose his only love.
Shige quickly opened the door. "Freeze!! Don't you dare sign that document!"
Inside the room was Hitomi, the headmaster, Ai, Koyama, and the mysterious man, or should I say "Nishikido-san", surprised by Shige's outburst.
"I'm sorry, Shigeaki-kun. But Nishikido-san already signed the paper to adopt Hitomi-chan." The headmaster apologized.
"No...no!! I won't let you take her!" Shige fired back while crying.
"Shige, don't be selfish." Koyama scolded while interrupting the fight.
The so-called man Nishikido walked towards Shige and patted his shoulder. "Sorry, kid. But Hitomi's now mine. She must of been real precious to you, huh?"
"Of course she is...Hitomi is...the person I love the most in this world!! And now you dare to take her away from me!? You're a damn bastard!!" Shige replied in anger.
Ai was stunned by Shige's manners and scolded him, too. "Shige-chan! Don't treat our customers like that!"
But it was too late, Shige ran out of the room upset. Hitomi got worried so she ran after him.
Hitomi was in front of the door to her and Shige's room. She knocked on it three times.
"Go away!!" Shige shouted from the inside.
"Shigeaki-kun, it's me. Open up, I wanna talk with you for a moment." Hitomi pleaded.
That did the trick. Shige unlocked the door and let Hitomi in.
The two sat on his bed and Hitomi looked at Shige.
"Look, Shigeaki-kun, I'm really sorry this is so sudden, but I'm moving out in a week with Nishikido-san."
Shige grabbed her hand and held it tight. "Where is your new address? You'll still be in Tokyo...right...?"
Hitomi bit her lip and shook her head. "No, I'm going to London."
"London? But why all the way there...?"
"That man, Nishikido Ryo, used to be my mother's manager when she was still alive so he rounded up a search party and found me here. Because he knows I'm the daughter of two world-famous musicians, he adopted me and plans on making me do piano performances where my parents use to play."
"You'll come back to visit...right...?" Shige gripped her hand, hoping for a 'yes'.
"I'm afraid not. I'll be so busy that I won't be able to return to Japan."
"Haven't you tried to negotiate with Nishikido-san?"
"I've tried, but every time I asked, he refuses me to return back to my home country. I'm so sorry."
Shige was so heartbroken, he started to weep. Hitomi hugged him tightly. "Please don't cry, I don't wanna leave either, you know."
Shige nodded, loosened the hug, and wiped his tears. "I'll miss you so much."
Hitomi smiled. "And I'll miss you, too."
The two closed the wide space between them and kissed passionately.
A week later, Shige went to Narita International Airport to say his last goodbye to Hitomi before she left. Ai and Koyama also tagged along.
"Well, I guess I better get going." Hitomi gripped onto her lugagge.
Shige only nodded silently.
Hitomi cupped his face with her soft hands and kissed him. "Don't worry. I'll make sure to write."
Shige felt more relieved and smiled. "I love you with all my heart."
"Come on, Hitomi! You gotta hurry up or the plane will leave!" Nishikido yelled from the departing gate.
Shige and Hitomi kissed one more time. She smiled. "Same here."
Hitomi walked to the gate, waved to her friends, and then she was gone.
Shige sniffled and Koyama patted his back from behind. "It's okay, Shige. Let it all out."
Shige held onto Koyama and started cry on his shoulder. Ai rubbed his back for comfort. "Don't worry, Shige-chan. Kei-chan and I will be here for you no matter what, okay?"
Shige didn't say anything. He just nodded into Koyama's chest.
Alright, just one more chapter and it'll be over!
