I started classes last Saturday for my Web Maintenance and Design certificate at a local community college. I'm still one class and a seminar short for the actual certificate. Ugh, you guys. First it was Superstorm Sandy that wiped away part of Casino Pier in Seaside Heights. Now Funtown Pier in Seaside Park, in the next town that is attached by the Boardwalk, is on fire. A six-alarm fire now.

Today was the Creation convention celebrating the 25th anniversary of Star Trek:The Next Generation. The entire cast was there with the exception of Wil Wheaton. We went to the O'Hare Westin hotel, which as the name implies is near the airport. Happily it wasn't in Chicago, an hour's drive for us. Took us 20 minutes to get there.

The lovely mf_luder_xf was in town this week, so misanthropic Rhyme got herself together and drove into Chicago to meet her, LOL.
