So very sleep deprived. I feel like my past five days have revolved around this class I'm grading for. I have a meeting with DRM tomorrow for which I've done almost nothing, because I haven't had time. Ack.

I fail at going to work today. Oops. I came to the Bakehouse after yoga class to get some coffee/breakfast and send an email to the professor that I'm grading for, and ended up finishing up the quiz grading, putting in all the online scores, looking through the other assignment she gave me, and now I have to go meet her soon. All shook up
Yes, even in Indiana, we can haz earthquake. This is the second one I've experienced in my time here, actually (the other was back in summer 2001.) I've enjoyed them both, because they weren't strong enough to be destructive (here), and the sheer weirdness factor of the experience is pretty interesting ( Read more... ) -
Causes for celebration
Someone in my physical vicinity has recently set up an open wireless network, which I just discovered about 5 minutes ago. Hooray! I can cuddle up on the couch with my laptop instead of languishing in the study with my old iMac and a slooooow dialup connection. Foody post and other things
Right now, I'm experimenting with making a brown risotto. I've wanted to try this for a while, and I finally had an open evening.
It went something like this....
- ~2 Tbsp ghee
- 3-4 small garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 a small red onion, chopped
- 5-6 cherry tomatoes, quartered
- 3-4 dried figs, chopped with stem removed
