Upcoming trips to the Dark Side...
Dark Side Tribal will be performing this Saturday night, August 16, up in Muncie, IN at a benefit hafla for the Autism Research Institute. This show is in memory of Jo Smith, a dancer from Indy who passed away earlier this year-- a member of her family is autistic and the ARI was an organization they supported. It's hosted by the Ancient Arts Dance Studio in conjunction with ISAMETD. In addition to performances by featured dancers doing bellydance, hip hop, and Bollywood, Il Troubadore will also be providing live music for open dancing.
It starts at 7 pm. Admission is $5, and there will also be a silent auction if you're in the mood to shop (all proceeds go to the Autism Research Insitute.) The hafla will be held at the Riley Elementary School gymnasium, located at 1901 N. Walnut St. in Muncie.

Saturday, Sept. 13: We're leaving our own "strange" Bloomington and heading to Bloomington-Normal, IL, to take workshops with Blue Lotus Tribe and to perform in the accompanying show, all ably hosted by the lovely and talented sahirazedare.
Thursday, Sept. 18: Catch Dark Side adding to the creepy sideshow atmosphere of the Dark Carnival Film Festival, on a special outdoor night at the Starlight Drive-In! We're working on some new and freaky stuff for this, so don't miss it!

Saturday, Nov. 15: Healing Sounds Concert at the Simply Living Fair & Wellness Expo.
