The last few weeks in bullet points

Wow, I am totally failing this whole "post more often" thing, aren't I?

SO, here be the last few weeks in bullet points. Because I am lazy.

* June 8th(ish?) - Cookout with the sig's family. We watched Stand By Me (which I had never actually seen... I know, for shame) and ate too much. Good times.

* June 10th - I totally sent a Direct Payment letter to Tony Stark. You all may be envious now.

* IRISH FEST! June 13-15 - Took off work on Friday the 13th and drove to Oshkosh to spend the WHOLE WEEKEND with Beth, who had VIP tickets to the concert. I wasn't expecting much with the VIP tickets. Maybe that there would be a Tent we could hang out with and an area set up close to the stage where we could listen to the concert. I got both, AND catered meals (though we missed most of them due to numerous coffee shop runs and visiting with my old roommate, Mandy, who was able to join us on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, which was even more awesome) AND discounts off of concessions AND we could actually go up on stage while the bands were playing. It was pretty epic. And lots of Awesome. Lots and lots of Awesome. Made ever more Awesome and also kind of sad because Beth will be moving to FLORIDA in a few weeks, so by golly, I *WAS* going to spend the entire weekend with her. And I did. And, as previously mentioned, it was AWESOME. Also, I drank way too many lattes - we actually spent several hours while we were "at the concert" up the street at a local coffee shop just chit chatting and catching up, which was totally the best part of all.

* June 18/19th - Was a Dark and Stormy Night. Seriously. My weather alarm went off four times over the course of an hour and a half, and there was a severe storm right over the top of us for a good hour. Needless to day, I didn't get a whole heck of a lot of sleep that night.

* June 19th, 10:30 am - I had an interview for a full time position at Sentry (same company, different office). I was extremely sleep deprived. I babbled a lot and was literally at a loss for certain words... Like, there was a word I *wanted* to use to describe something, but it just wasn't there. On the bright side, though, at least one of the interviewers were just as sleep deprived as I was, so I guess it must have evened out in the end because...

* June 24th - they offered me the job! And I accepted. WOOT, FULL TIME EMPLOYEE WITH BENEFITS!

* June 27th - last day at the Home Office. My coworkers there surprised me with a lovely bouquet of flowers and a thank you card for all I had helped out with these last few months. I worked with an awesome group of peeps, yo. Here's hoping the group at the new office will be equally awesome. :)

Aaaaaand that brings us to today, June 28th, in which I intend to do laundry. Lots and lots of laundry. Possibly even my bed linens. And there may or may not be a Transformers movie marathon at some point during all the laundry. Do I know how to party on the weekend or what?

p.s. - the Energy Fair was last weekend, June 20-22. Dad had two presentations and he was displaying his ethanol fueled truck again. I didn't make it to the fair, alas, but I did get to hang out with Gramma at home good chunk of the weekend, so that was cool, too. Also, it waking up to fresh coffee (made by someone else, even) and chirping birds ALWAYS wins out against waking up to the rumble of semi trucks and traffic on 54. :)
