2015, you have been a weird f*#%&*'n year.
Despite that, there are some good things going on over here.
Peach and I are making huge progress. Some days it feels monumentally slow, and when I look at the big picture, things are going well. We have a solidified warmup routine that we're working on transferring to the trial arena. She's not biting me and rarely whacks my leg with the side of her mouth indicating she'd like to bite me. Her lessons with Desiree are going very well, and we're actually doing courses instead of working through nautighness. I cherish the longass drives with Teri, dedicated time together. We did our first Control Unleashed class last night, and it is *exactly* what Peach needed. A class focused on relaxtion. After 45 minutes, she stopped panting, and after an hour I could massage her front end. I only saw one snark, and her focus was brilliant. I'm so happy with this girl. Oh and then we went and got the OFA's taken care of, and ended up adding on Patellas and Dentition in addition to the Hips and Elbows. She could not have more health testing done, and everything is clear, so if things continue, we'll do a Peach x Beam litter on her next cycle.
Beam stalking Monkey....
Lucero and I are having fun in Tammy's Start Line class. Not rocket science concepts, but broken down nicely and definitely having an impact. Since I really don't want to RUN 72 runs this weekend, I have more motivation to really work his start line in the trial this weekend. Should we make a bet on which run we get the start line on the first try? Let's say a 15' start line? My guess is run #8.
Dixie came back home after a 2 week stay with my momma, and I kinda missed the old girl. It's so weird to watch her age. But all she wants is to sleep with us at night, yet the old girl paces, so she is locked out of the bedroom with a baby gate and then we get our daily snuggles. She got an old girls pants clip when she got home, since she HATES being brushed, and it gets more unbearable as she gets old and tender. Much easier to get mats out to just have that fur off. She looks ridiculous, and I still love her.
Dixie and Yankee at my feet...
And the kennel is growing at an exponenetial rate. But it's gonna be awesome. So much gratitude.
