I'm currently rather enjoying the BBC's swashbuckling Sunday night series The Musketeers. True, it's not quite Merlin, but it's got plenty of eye-candy, quite a few laughs, some rousing action, and I'm getting fonder and fonder of everyone in it by the week ( Read more... )

I went to see Iron Man 3 at the weekend, and although it didn't quite reach the giddy heights of the Avengers movie for me, it was jolly entertaining.

It also contained a gratuitous reference to Downton Abbey*, which inspired me to create this even more gratuitous costumed crossover.

Watchers of space-telly may be aware that Red Dwarf has recently returned to British TV screens. While its glorious peak was probably some time in the past, the new series has stirred a fond nostalgia in me and even made me giggle out loud a couple of times. In my perennial search for decent telly, I'm keenly watching The Hollow Crown, a star-studded adaptation of four of Shakespeare's history plays.
