Well, first of all, Tom and I had planned a simple, quite, and intimate holiday. . . which is what we did. However last week I was visiting my youngest brother who lives with my father and stepmother so I had to see them too. . . Some really kewl things happened and some really weird things happened:

Friday Tom and I went to his father's funeral. His father had died on Monday after they had to pull the plug last Friday.

It is 10 in the morning and I have insomnia. . . I have slept for a while. . . I have 50 million jobs I want to do: a do-to list that just keeps getting longer. I feel so far behind. I will miss my grandma and her mashed potatoes. . . everyone loved her mashed potatoes. . . they were creamy, buttery a few small lumps (it let us know that they were homemade.)
