January Goals:Jan 7-31

1. Finish writing/typing Parts 3-5 of NaNoWriMo 2010 novel The Whispering Path
2. Work off double chin
3. Enjoy time with Tom more
4. Make my 7 layer white sauce Lasagna
5. Organize pantry

I did notice that last year many things and people in Tom and my lives kind of pulled us in different directions. . . I am hoping that this year we may be able to have a quiet year where we can accomplish those goals we have out set for ourselves. I only accomplished about 20 percent of what I wanted to do . . . This Christmas was really nice. There were a few family issues:

My aunt couldn’t eat with the family, but she did enjoyed her slushy and sat at the table with the family. (She only has a few more chemo sessions, and then the doctors are going to wait to see what to do next. The good news is that she had entire slushy in one sitting finally.)

When I used bake cookies, it was an escape. . . I would blast my favorite music, and lose my world in the chemistry of the dough. It was like a vacation within the kitchen with a yummy outcome. However the more people tell me to make cookies, the more it feels like work.

There has been so much going on with my life in the last two months that I don’t know where to begin. . . I think I will start I can’t wait until 2011 to be so much better than 2010.  (However I am getting about a week ahead of myself.)

First of all, I usually bake as for therapy for me. It allows me to forget the world for a few hours as I am making a sweet treat for those that I care about. Holidays cookies, however, are NOT therapeutic.

From Tuesday Dec 15th until Saturday Dec 19th I was over my father’s house making cookies. The things that happened. . . .
