It's more than a little surreal to feel a huge surge of relief at the phrase, "It's just a melanoma!"

Long week is long.

I have my sister's laugh. Or more accurately I suppose, she has mine. This makes me very happy. My sister is probably the only member of my immediate family I would, today, choose as family.

I think, in celebration, that I will laugh a lot. :)

I was randomly thinking about something today which led me to wondering when our next Cicada summer would be. Turns out that Brood X, which is our local brood, is a 17 year periodic Cicada. For some reason I thought they were a 7 year brood. I'm quite disappointed by this, as I was looking forward to another Cicada summer soon.
