This angsty future AU has many elements that usually make me avoid a story (a scene of noncon/partner violence, love-fueled hate, and loads of painful emotional scenes, plus tons of hurt/comfort). On the dark side, this one is different enough that fans of both fandoms should take note, and give it a read. The story is weighted more the the Pros side of the crossover 'verses, but you won't enjoy it as much unless you're familiar with the BtVS universe. Another apocafic--this time the disaster is a comet strike that caused another ice age. (Man, does this rec feel right as we bow to the power of Winter here in the NW.)
