With the 31 flavors recs, I always spend a lot of time grouping and re-grouping the stories, trying to add a bit of order to what is a scattershot sharing of recs that are gathered over many months and difficult to categorize, except that they are ultimately Stories I Like. This rather grim yet heartening tale captures what it must have been like on Earth during the year of the Master's reign, with Toclafane swooping down with vicious intent and the world gone to hell, and no one seemingly able to fight back. The whole story rings true somehow, so I consider this a bit of untold canon.
