so much weed for $100

Drove up to see Mattie last night to pick up a variety of weed. A nug of Pink Gusher and three others in larger amounts.

After waiting about an hour, Mattie came out, we hit a Greek/Mediterranean place called Gillera where we got shish kebabs, rice, and whatnot, then repaired to Eagle Rock to view the New York City skyline. It was quite a sight seeing all those lights, the square constellations spread across counties surrounding the city, how the skyline has changed so much in twenty years, combined with the seasonable weather.

Our view didn't amount to much for long due the steam from our food foogged the windows, but neither of us minded because the food was so good (I didn't smoke, Mattie vaped), and we keep good company. Such easy conversation, thinking of little things to do in the future, not being afraid of stepping on someone's toes or stealing their limelight. Just talking and keeping company is enough.

When we were done eating, I had the bright idea of driving into Maplewood to take her to this overlook for a better, less cluttered, and secluded view of NYC. By the time we made our way there, some cop was camped out blaring his headlights and whatnot at a parked car while a group of chads came in from the street.

So much for that.

Afterwards we drove around, went past the home of my paternal grandparents where I gave my theory that I astrally haunted the place for years. It was near the veterinary clinic where Pudding, our black cat from the eighties and nineties, wound up passing while undergoing surgery to reset her leg after it was broken.

Anyway this was a very fine way to spend the night, despite the pandemic.
