We have finally gotten ourselves up to date and bought a digital camera; a refurb from woot.com, naturally.   We knew this would have to happen once we adopted Taz - how can you have a cat and not be constantly posting pictures of him on the internet?  It makes no sense!

I talked to the surgeon who was going to operate on Taz.  The pre-op x-rays and ultrasounds didn't show the big stones that were there before, only smaller stuff.  His urine ph is down into a good range.  They were able to draw some urine and examine some of the stuff that was there and they decided that he doesn't need surgery after all!  It looks ( Read more... )

So, Major Taz of the US Marine Cats is booked in for his surgery on June 17th.  That should give him enough time to heal and have the sutures removed before we leave for Maine and leave him to the tender mercies of Nora's cousin.  It's going to cost more than we would have hoped, but much less than we feared.  Our savings should be able to handle ( Read more... )
