I now have 20,000 words, baby! I had 18,081 when I left this morning, and then I got home later than expected and only had about two hours and I still got 20,000 done for the day! :D That's impressive. I was tired. Shhh.

The basement did indeed get worse overnight. The water is about ankle-deep right now. Our pump is doing its best to remove it though. Earlier today, I had a scare in which I thought it wasn't working anymore. It didn't turn on for a long time. But it's been running almost all day now.
