The types of things my family talks about over Thanksgiving dinner:
+ The Muppets (favorites, "Muppets vs. Sesame Street", Muppeteers. etc)
+ Jason Segel
+ Beethoven
+ Mozart
+ Silly things that people we've known have said (example: "We wanted to sound like Black Sabbath but not." "I AM NOT IRON MAN.")
+ The strange eating habits of children
+ Whether or not we got in trouble at school, when we were little
+ Whether or not we got in trouble at HOME, when we were little
+ Shows we watched when we were little
+ The California Raisins making good (or bad) costumes
+ The Christmasification of other holidays
+ The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade
+ The dog show that always follows the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade
+ Remembering our past cats
We're going to see The Muppets tomorrow night. :D I already love The Muppets, but the fact that Bret McKenzie did the music and Jason Segel is in it, among other things, makes it even better!
I've been feeling awfully detached from people lately. It might just be the fact that, when I stop writing for NaNoWriMo for the day, I feel like I'm coming down from a high. And it especially sucks when I can't find anything else to do. I'd just keep writing, but I might burn out or go crazy, so I stop.
Because I'm poor, I'm thinking of writing letters to some people this year. The people I'd normally buy something for. Long, heartfelt letters are still nice, right?
