reading into every word you say
yesterday i went for a little treat: dessert before dinner :D honey vanilla bean ice cream from pluck is still my absolute favourite ice cream. the smoothness, the light, subtle honey flavour - it was so heavenly that i started singing DJ sammy's heaven (candlelight slow remix) on the spot. ice cream chef's beanie vanilla cannot even compare at all. i was actually slightly relieved that vintage delicafe was closed, or else D and i would have finished dinner long after pluck closed!
we ran around trying to find something to eat (just had fika a few weeks back, so it was good to eat something else. i get so stuck in a food rut :/) and finally settled on fish & co. yes it's halal! has been for a year already, if i'm not wrong. anyhow, I ordered swiss fish and chips, which was very very very cheesy. and huge. the fish was sticking out of the pan! i particularly liked the combination of cheese in the fish itself (not only on top!) and lemon butter sauce in the batter. it was yummy and filling, i was satisfied (: on top of that, we ordered a crispy whitebait appetiser which was fried to oblivion, in a good way. crispy alright! i'm getting hungry all over again just thinking about yesterday's dinner - gonna grab some brunch now!
