So apologies for not doing a post for last week's ep; I very much enjoyed the episode (especially Len!!!), but Ginger die Wunderkatze gave me quite a scare. I had to take her to the vet and everything. She's doing much better now, which is all that matters to me :) So let's move on to this week, shall we?

So my poor little Ginger-bee is limping :( I'm pretty sure, given her 12 years of age, that it's arthritis and not an injury. I do know she's had some spills in her younger years, and I also know from an X-ray from a few years ago that one of her vertebrae is slightly out of place, so she's deffo got problems. My birthday is exactly one month from today, and I'm already blue. That is no way to start out the new year. So the vet got to take a closer look at Ginger's X-rays this weekend and wrote me that Ginger has a back injury (two of her vertebrae are squishing a disk a little) and her kidneys are slightly disformed, which signals the start of chronic kidney disease :( So the plan for now is just to continue with the normal treatment, and she's absolutely in ( Read more... )

Ginger has kidney stones :( Luckily they haven't passed out of her kidneys yet, so we'll be able to treat them with medication and a new special diet. She also has some constipation, which is probably why she's been vomiting so much.
