I'm reading a book titled First, Break All the Rules. It's a management book, and I highly recommend it so far. (It's by the Gallop Organization and uses statistical analysis to arrived at the best techniques for retaining top employees, so it should appeal to all you nerds. =)

What not to put on your cover letter or resume:

• "My professional aspiration is to be a CEO." You're applying for a junior programming job. Focus!
• "I recently moved back to San Francisco and have a vehicle." Um. That's ... nice? Now, how about something on topic?
