The other day, I attended the office blessing at UCPB Gen, one of the major projects that I handled this year. It was a loose and casual gathering with light snacks and drinks. For the past month, I had been so busy with one of the major projects that our office had this year. I was involved with the construction of the new office of one of the major insurance companies here in the country. It was mighty convenient too because it was just 15 minute walking distance to where my boyfriend, Arvin lived.

Nope, not the usual drowning with work and to-do lists. Last Sunday night, I spent most of it writhing in pain on my bed. I felt the first batch of spasms right after dinner and it pretty much escalated as the hours wore on. I had some things lined up on my to-do list that night and I had to ignore them because I had to stay curled up on my bed.

I'm currently handling several projects at work, doing several freelance projects on my own and fulfilling calligraphy jobs, however I find myself stressing not on these tasks but because I still haven't been issued a car plate. I rushed home yesterday after work to find out how Kahlua was doing. She was due for a bandage change and my sister would need my help. Kahlua seemed happy when she saw me. My Sunday wasn’t so restful because I had a full schedule. First up was a final punchlisting at one of my freelance projects. I had thought that it would last only an hour but the time flew by and before I knew it, it was already lunch time. My usual workday routine starts out fairly early. I’m usually on the road by 5:30am and in about an hour or so, I’m already at the office. I get up early so that I can avoid the morning rush hour traffic. Sometimes though, there are accidents that add up to the time I am on the road.

I slept lightly last night because I had Kahlua beside me. Since she is an old dog, the cold weather is not helping her arthritis. So I persuaded my mom that we keep her inside last night. Kahlua is not exactly a quiet bedside companion. She snores! Very loudly if I may add and she kept shifting positions too. So I probably got only around 3 hours ( Read more... )
