Yesterday was full of win for me, because it made me realize a couple things:

Wearing a uniform, or abiding to a dress code with strict instructions on how to present one's self, really placed me in a different level of interaction with others. I hate wearing tights with a skirt, suit shirt and jacket but among other people it's a whole other deal. ( Read more... )

It's both easy and hard, as I'd expected but only in the second week of the program and I already feel strung out. Haven't been able to find inspiration to do anything at all for so long because of this, I know it should get easier once I get used to the stupid hours and the business suit (skirts, boooooo)... So yesterday I painted the hallway and setup a new floor linoleum at home which was tons of fun.

I discovered that paint could be perfumed, this one was cheap and smelled of feet so we mixed lime scented oil to it and it's great. We're hoping it keeps the mosquitos away this summer - away from the hall. Smart, eh?

This week I have signed an application to a school that would (if I'm accepted) get me a course and job at the airport as a security agent. The people who check your passport and tickets, strip search you, scan your luggage and confiscate your contact lense lotion. Not a desk job, and that's what I want in life.

Been working with paper, bags and people for the last 3-4 days and it's tiring because it doesn't respect the 9 to 5 times in the day and I sleep much less than usual.

BUT I get to practice a lot of spoken English and in the work place I'm the only one who can actually speak it without searching for each word.

Soon going to have to be on my best behavior for the first "real" job interview of my life.

Taking a minute to sit and sort my objectives out.

Yesterday I started documenting myself for Flash. I watched a couple of tutorials from this site, which I think is awesome, and it doesn't seem so hard to handle.

Which I have been doing for 2 days now, and I'm saying really thinking, measuring pro's and con's of an eventual military carreer. I took an appointment to the information and recrutement center on Friday morning, so we'll see then.
