I got a job last week- NOT the job I wanted or expected!

 Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints means being kept busy.  We Mormons are given jobs in the church to give us opportunities to serve.  These jobs are called callings, and they can range from teaching Sunday School, to leading music, to being president of the women's organization.  They like keeping us "anxiously ( Read more... )

Christmas was really great up until one big disastrous event that has shaken up the one side of my family that was the most not crazy.   That's all I'm saying about that.  HOWEVER, this was the first year with my sister's new kids- we don't know what Christmas was like for my niece when she was with her birth mother, but it's her first Christmas ( Read more... )

Our Valentine's Day tradition came about because we couldn't find any babysitters so that my husband and I could go get dinner.  Instead, we decided that we would have a fancy dinner at home- and include the girls.  We pull out the fine china, the crystal goblets, and all the fancy dishes that almost never get used.  We have a full candlelight ( Read more... )
