Our Valentine's Day tradition came about because we couldn't find any babysitters so that my husband and I could go get dinner. Instead, we decided that we would have a fancy dinner at home- and include the girls. We pull out the fine china, the crystal goblets, and all the fancy dishes that almost never get used. We have a full candlelight dinner with instrumental music playing on the stereo. We all dress up. It has become a treasured way for all of us to have a chance to enjoy the holiday together. This year, grandma is our special guest. We've already warned her to keep her church clothes on.
