(no subject)
ugh.... so this has been a rollercoaster week... i got the prints back from saera for our last shoot and they....weren't very good. i dont know if its the lighting, or what, but they dont look like *fashion* photos.
so, im like...i spend over 10,000 yen on accessories and shit for this shoot and i get crappy pictures...i am NOT happy. well, but im just like... i'll leave it, and just work on looking for another photographer. well, then she tells me the good news that her agent in LA is willing to take some of our work to asia with him on his business tours- great, right? well, he says that our stuff is not good enough (surprise, surprise) and that we need a big name brand and he'll take the photos with him.
well, im thinking ...fuck, i cant just go into a big name japanese brand and be all 'give me some clothes, please' and then promise th/em high fashion pics we will be showing to taiwainese VOGUE etc and then give them crappy quality pics... so i meet with her yesterday, and i tell her im not happy with her lighting technique... that its too street/PR/photo journalistic, and not stylish/glossy/impactful enough... so if im going to put myself on the line, i need to know if you can do those type of pictures.
..and she was kind of ok when we left, but today i met with her because she demanded her magazines she lent me back, and she blurts out in super rude japanese (she always had spoken to me in english before) like how DARE you say something like that to a photographer when you dont know anything about pictures!!' and im like...i may not be a photographer, but i know a good picture when i see it, yo!!' ..and she says she has a different stylist so i can forget about the asia thing so i'm like..'whatever'.... and then i hear right away from a friend that she's trying to call MY contact and borrow clothes from his company... which not only pisses me off that she's trying to go through MY friends and steal MY contacts, but its not even any brand name stuff i was gonna go after... but whatever... im really stressed now, though... i have no photographer now T_T

so i really wanted to go to see hyde's live at the end of the month so i asked playboy taro to see if he could score a tic for me and he said he would try but he hasnt written back in over a week (he drives...me....crazy!!!). so i look at auctions and ONE ticket is going for upwards of $700!!!!!!!(my GOD!!) and then i look at the scedule and i see OLIVIAs name on the lineup....im like ..WHAT?! so i guess she's back in tokyo!? i didnt dare email her because i just thought she wouldnt remember me or anything, but i was really depressed yesterday and didnt think i had much to lose so i sent a little mail.... and she wrote BACK! score! and she even wants to talk about styling and pics! DOUBLE SCORE! stupid saera doesnt know what she's missing...HA!
tomorrow im going to an exhibition to look at some kickass boots an aquaintance is importing into her shop from italy... they are REALLY AWESOME... i hope i can get some pics!! ive also been invitied into another brands atrium and hopefully i can use some of her stuff (if i can find a damn photographer!) and i also met an editor of nylon and dazed and confused japan at a party last friday and i sent him a really nice email and he wrote me back right away thanking me, and hoping we can meet again sometime. i hope, i hope!
