ugh.... so this has been a rollercoaster week... i got the prints back from saera for our last shoot and they....weren't very good. i dont know if its the lighting, or what, but they dont look like *fashion* photos

Good luck! Yep, the last pictures were a bit...not vibrant enough, not life into them, but then again the model's face looked totally TOTALLY vacant.

I see the difference between the pictures, and I agree with you. The other photographer's pictures don't compare to those of like the first. I can tell though, that the fourth (the one with the Japanese girl) pictures would have been really cool though. Are you sure those pictures can't just be retouched or something? It looks like the first three sets of pictures had a lot of retouching done to them, so maybe what you're not liking about the last sets is that like none was done at all?

the first one had a LOT of retouching... just like any fash. photo... the second one hardly any at all, and the third (b&w goth) had none...

as for saera's pics, yeah, i asked her to retouch them but she said "they don't need it" and i had to continue to ask her to change the color contrast and to make the sky blue (if you'll notice, she turned it neon blue in one pic)... then she says she doesnt need to retouch because the editor does that...uh, not necessarily and we don't have an editor, hello.. the problem is that she doesnt SEE the problems herself... just drives me mad... thanks so much for your input!

As you already know, I absolutely love the first set of photos. They are so brilliant. As for the last two, for lack of better terms they are so 2 dementional and have no depth to them. The only one out of them that seems to is the first and that is probably just from the simplicity of the shot and sheer contrast with the bush behind her.

Good luck finding a good photographer to work with, you are getting the contacts you need-now to keep people from poaching them...just consider though you are getting to be a contact...

Anyway, uh, I think all the pictures are awesome? I wouldn't have noticed the lighting if you hadn't said anything? (but I don't know so much about this whole fashion thing, so...)

these pix are rather dull for a high fashion photoshoot. I'm thinking this needs to be more chapelle or newton. *sigh*. She's a decent photographer. but how malicious! can't ppl just be objective? She should have swallowed it and admit it.

you should use my friend jason rose (he's half chinese) to model for you.hahah. he's got lots of connetions in asia . I believe he is in h.k now
