On Friday I was absolutely floored with the cold and had difficulty in thinking straight. I did manage to vaguely get my head together in time to get the girls after childcare but I was not at my best. Girls are back, school is about to start, everything’s falling back into routine now which is in some ways rather nice. I’ve lost the weight I put on over the holidays/Gathering, and we’ll see how much more I can do before Empire, since I think larp events are always going to cause a blip on the figures. Last night, Audrey handed Alan her doctor’s bag and asked him to use the contents to make her toy rabbit all better. Inside was a playing card and a handgun.

Apparently the card was bunny’s medical chart and the gun was for giving injections with, but I’m not convinced.

Overall I had a great time. There were no utter wow moments, but that's rather to be expected when you're spending the time running round entertaining kids, and you don't already have a buy in to the syste. Still there's a lot I can see that I'll get involved in, and that interests me going forward, and that I'd like to try. So all good.
