i've just been swimming with mum. one of my favourite things is to swim up on one side of her, wait until she's not looking, duck down and swim underneath her for a few strokes and then come up on the other side making sure she doesn't notice until this terrifyingly pink-clad leviathan rises out of the murky depths. heh heh. gets her every time.

i've just wiped everything off my ipod completely, and put all my music on dvd in order to transfer it to my new apple laptop and reconfigure the ipod as mac compatible. it's all a desperate fiddle. if it doesn't work i'll cry harder than i've ever cried about a piece of technology since my evil previous laptop died and took 70 pages of a story i ( Read more... )

went to the theatre tonight to see an adaptation of C.S. Lewis's (whose middle name by the way is Staples, how cool?!) "The Screwtape Letters". it was really well done, i enjoyed it immensely. it was a small cast of 5 people, but they were extremely talented, especially with bringing out the humour in Screwtape's monologues! i was laughing so much ( Read more... )

on a happier note, i went to the theatre last night with mum to see the reduced shakespeare company again. i saw it a couple of years ago at the criterion in london with my flatmate. it's so excellent!
