Sunday:
Argh. Roommates both sick. My nose is runny. I hope I'm not sick. I'd hate to be sick at work. Maybe I shouldn't go to club, but I asked ____ for something and it would be impolite not to show up. Should probably just leave early.
Monday:
Is the traffic so light due to rain or the holiday? Half an hour there and back is really good time.
Tuesday:
Maybe it was the rain. Traffic today was as good as yesterday, even if visibility was worse.
New monitor came in. Looking really nice. When the new computer comes, I'm definitely setting up a dual monitor display.
Roommate got worse. Picking up some juice.
Wednesday:
Bah. Good fortune from Monday and Tuesday and been balanced by today. I guess it was the holiday after all.
New comp has been delayed by a week. This means maybe a full week of make-work and thus boredom at the office.
Thursday:
Woke up with a sore throat. What should I eat to avoid irritation?
Finally got to be productive. I was given a real project to work on. I got to figure out the materials and dimensions of a part we're to ship out in early March. This involved finding a manner of reconciling what our plans say we produce, what we actually produce, what our system says we have to work with, and what we actually have. It's not a particularly challenging task, but I've made a lasting impact, if only in collapsing the features a class of parts from the cloud of uncertainty they'd previously existed as (and documenting it properly so it'll last).
Friday:
New printer came in. Big printer too. I had fun playing around with its features. It's pretty straightforward, but requires too many manual adjustments to be really convenient. Still, it prints nice looking D-sized drawings.
