Return of the car
Well, the car came back today. I feel a bit embarrassed by how dirty it was when I brought it in.
As for handling... it seems a bit stiffer than it was before, but maybe that's because I've been driving my roommate's car. It's also creaking a bit less than before for some reason. The guy showed me a couple broken pieces and said they were my old (transmission?) mount and that it'd mostly broken loose. Perhaps that was causing the sound rather than my suspension (which is what I'd thought it'd been). I should check the air pressure in my tires too - maybe the increased resistance is from that.
First things first, wash car, get gas, look at tires and deal with visible issues.
I'll be driving (relatively) slowly and carefully for the next while. A 3 year warranty doesn't help if I'm stranded somewhere in the middle of the freeway or in an accident.
