Skiing today was a mixture between awesome and amazing. The weather was perfect, I got to go on several runs, and work on my carving. For lunch, I had some of the tastiest food $14 can buy: a cheeseburger, nachos, and soft pretzel. (I split this fourteen-dollar meal with my brother.) It's such a gorgeous day outside, I'm not even joking. The sun is shining, there is a slight breeze, and it's a brisk 55 degrees. I would love to just spend the entire day outside, soaking up all California winter has to offer, but I have a different event to attend.

Today had a few significant highs, and a few significant lows. The highs included sounding awesome at the mini-tour today with the marching band; the lows included feeling lousy at rehearsal today and dissatisfied with my performing. Nonetheless, it's proved positive overall.

I just clicked play on the acoustic song "Selective" by The Starting Line and it instantly made me feel a lot better. It's so crazy what music can do to a person. Speaking of music, my taste in it has changed so much. I have now established that my four favorite bands are:
