I realized yesterday that sales tax in South Carolina is only 6%. My first thought was, "That's why I feel like my money lasts longer." My second thought was, "No wonder they have such terrible schools!"

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if a famous person showed up while I was working or walking around campus and started talking to me. Wouldn't that be cool? (Obviously, it would be a famous person I both know of and like.)

Alternatively, it could just be some nice guy.
