I am becoming very fond of the little Hispanic corner store at the end of my block. It's always an adventure when I go there because I don't speak Spanish and not all of them speak English. After an embarassingly long pronunciation lesson I can stumble through the phrase "Dulce de Leche" and get my request across with minimal jumping and pointing ( Read more... )

     This weekend Choco and I were abducted by the Health and Happiness Examiner and wisked away to Boston. We went shopping and on an Interactice Egyptian Adventure with 100% Curse Guarantee. We also went to Walden Pond! THE WALDEN POND. Like THOREAU'S WALDEN POND! *faints at disbelief of how incredibly awesome that is*

     This weekend I went to a Qigong and writing retreat. The Qigong excercises were led by Jennifer and Jay Bartholomew of Gentle Spirit Healing Arts in between writing sessions with Bruce Gelfand. It was held on a luxurious private property that included a pool, hot tub, beautiful gardens and delicious meals. It was an amazing experience.

I have ALWAYS had an unusually large fascination with the zoo. I don't know what it is about animals, they just amaze me.
