Coming together very well. I wouldn't be surprised if we wrapped up all of the work on Vorkosigan in early December. And by all, I mean all. As in, actually finished the book.

(To be honest, I'll be shocked if we don't finish in the first few weeks of December.)

It's going to be a 240-page hardcover.

There's a 101 Days of GURPS 4th thread at RPGNet, for those of you who enjoy reading these threads. Those threads are hit or miss (for me, at least) but I figure that one covering GURPS is worth following if only to watch how someone uses our work over 101 days.

Two days and 240-pages of Quark monkey work.

One huge book.

Almost a full 9 hours of layout, with a few breaks here and there, is tiring. It has been several years since I worked on layout at this pace for this length of time. Another hour or two and I'm done for the day.

dr_kromm has posted another GURPS update that covers what he worked on over the past week. I have little day-to-day interaction with the GURPS line -- most of my time goes to management and planning -- but at least once I week I review a project or two and get the chance to add my own comments to the upcoming releases. For those of you who don't know, Sean Punch finally started a Livejournal account where he now loses time to talking about nonsense. Sometimes, though, he shares info on GURPS.

I can take it one step further. Yesterday, the hardcover samples of GURPS Thaumatology arrived in the office. Sean hasn't seen it yet, but I have.
