So I need to find in Philadelphia, or close by, a pair of thigh high red boots that are not terribly expensive or have a massive stripper heel.

Where in the city do you recommend I shop for affordable handknit accessories (particularly non-wool kids' sizes in hats, scarves and mittens)? This is a time-sensitive mission.. otherwise I would knit them myself!! :)

I. Goldberg (13th and Chestnut) has 100% wool army blankets on sale for $15. Like their women, the Dutch ones are soft and fluffy, while the Italian ones have racing stripes woven into them. Get 'em while they last. Also tons of wool and wool-nylon sweaters for $5 and $10.
