i'm trying to find a hand-held hole punch that's bigger than the standard 1/4" size. i've tried Staples, craft stores, etc and all they have is either the 1/4" hole ones or the kind that punch out stars and duckies. my google-fu is lacking as well, so i'm hoping one of my local philly peeps might have the scoop on whether such a thing exists?

Could some one please help me to locate a place where I can order 14" x 20" flat corrugated cardboard that's white on one side? I've looked all over online and have called companies to no avail. It's very hard to find cardboard wholesale, apparently ( Read more... )

Knitting stuff in chinatown, maybe?

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any shops in chinatown that might sell some off brand cheap knitting needles or something.

Does anyone know of any good yarn stores, preferably near Center City? I know of one in the suburbs (Ewe & I in Narberth) and I suspect that there are probably some by Fabric Row but I'd prefer a more accessible location of possible. This is a crazy longshot, but does anyone know of a place in the area where I can buy wool roving for spinning? I met the owner of a shop a couple years ago and she said her place was reachable by regional rail, but I've lost her business card. Google is beyond unhelpful.

Are there any places in the city to get gimp/lanyard? I'm doing something with it for one of my classes and wasn't sure where they might sell some. I'm in Center city, I could get around the city though.
