The whole weekend went remarkably well. I arrived at my parents' house late Wednesday night and stayed through Sunday. No politics were discussed, we managed to avoid any controversial religious topics, and peace reigned in my parents' home. In other news, the new lawyer at the office seems to be working out well. In other words, he's happy to talk things out, rather than trying to reinvent the wheel. I only hope I can keep the naysayers, pity partiers, and Cassandras at bay, until he is good and settled in.
