Miss Molly, why do you almost always choke on your water when you drink it?!  Drink, then breathe!  Or breathe, then drink!  You can't do them both at the same time, so why do you try???  You're just giving Mommy and Daddy heart attacks!!

Well, his bone marrow was sent to two different labs.  One said he tested negative for kittie leukemia.  The other said he tested positive.  O_o  Riiiiiiiight...

So, his doctor is going with the idea that it was just a virus.  He doesn't want to give Nod steroids or anything because they may kill him if they are wrong.  So my mom just has to watch ( Read more... )

Our department had a budget meeting today to brainstorm ideas where we could cut costs without resorting to lay-offs.  It seemed really productive, and everyone put forth some really great ideas.  Hopefully they will solve the problem ( Read more... )

Whew, it's been a while since my last entry.  And since I'm sitting here at work with not as much to do as usual, I figured I'd take a second and update.  Yeah, that's right, the economy has forced the state to instate hiring freezes at several agencies, and ours is one of them.  And my job involves helping departments hire people!  *grumbles*

Today my mother has to put down our beloved dog, Cocoa.  She has been part of the family for almost ten years, and now we must say goodbye.  She's very old with several health problems, the worst of which we discovered to be possible brain tumors.   She's confused and having trouble getting around, so the humane thing to do would be to put her to ( Read more... )
