Whew! Long time, no post.
I told myself I wouldn't let so much time go by without posting. Who knew I'd get so busy? Here's the latest and greatest:
We got a doggy!! Her name is Molly Brown Sugar (long story...) and she used to belong to my sister's boss. They just didn't have time for her anymore and wanted to make sure she'd go to a good home that wouldn't turn around and sell her (she's a pure bred Boston Terrier; worth a pretty penny). We are so excited to have her! She is very well-behaved and perfectly trained. It's taken her a bit of time to adjust to our ways, but she seems happy. Hell, I'd be happy with a constant food supply and walks every day and sleeping wherever I want! She's definitely a cuddler, which has been a little tricky some nights when we try to roll over and she's snug against our sides, but we love her anyway. For me, it's definitely nice having her around at night while James is at work. At least there's another breathing thing in the house! Anywho, I'll post pics when I get around to uploading them!
I've officially begun my Christmas gift projects. It's not even September and I already feel behind! I've got some pretty good sized pieces to make everyone, but I have a feeling I may make some last minute changes to smaller gifts depending on how time goes. I've had to set aside my Egyptian Angel again just to make sure I have enough time. I don't know if I'll ever get that one done! Anyway, I'll be posting progress of gifts elsewhere so that prying eyes *coughDANIcough* can't see what they're getting. That's right, little Sis, I'm on to you! >__>
And the students are back in town for the new school year. Traffic yesterday was just horrendous!! It'll thin out once parents leave after dropping off their kids, but it'll still be heavier for the next 9 months. That's one downside to living in a college town, but one gets used to it. I just can't believe it's school time already?! Where did summer go?! I love autumn, but that was just too darn fast for my taste. I haven't even gone on one hike!! There are so few nice weekends left, so I better get my butt up there before it snows!
